An interactive mobile first web experience for Hawaii Tourism in New York City

We developed Know More Hawaii, an interactive web experience as part of an integrated ad campaign for Hawaii Tourism in New York City. The team was stoked we finally got to work on a project related to these beautiful islands.

The mobile first interactive experience revolves around the fact that New Yorkers need a vacation that gets them. So, Know More Hawaii was designed as a contextual recommendation campaign tailored to their NY state of mind. By using the MetroCard as a canvas for a first-of-a-kind HVCB-branded scratcher takeover with a unique code driving back to our richly animated mobile site.

Just one lucky New Yorker (and a plus-one) will travel all the way from the island of New York to one of the Hawaiian Islands. The key to winning an exciting trip could be right in their pocket after a simple subway ride. All they need to do is input the number on the back of their Hawaii MetroCard when entering, and if they are selected, the getaway could be theirs. This mechanism also marked the first time a New York MetroCard can be used for entry into a giveaway.
